The South Dakota State Jackrabbits earned the #11 seed in this year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
The Jackrabbits earned an automatic bid to this year’s tournament with their Summit League Tournament Championship win over North Dakota State.
The #11 Jackrabbits will face the #6 Washington Huskies in the round of 64 on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball will compete in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT).
USD has made seven WNIT appearances in program history, including a WNIT Championship in 2016.
The Coyotes earned a first-round bye in this year’s 48-team tournament. USD will play the winner of Northern Colorado vs Air Force in the second round.
Yankton Track and Field opens their season today with an indoor invitational at the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse in Yankton.
The Invitational is hosted by Mount Marty University, with events scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
Mount Marty Softball opens GPAC play on Wednesday with a home doubleheader against the College of Saint Mary.
The Lancers enter their conference slate with a 7-11 overall record. First pitch of game one from Sertoma Park is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Wednesday.
Mount Marty Men’s Golf returns from their hiatus today to compete in the Doane Invitational.
The meet will be held at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. Tee time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
The South Dakota High School Boys Basketball State Tournament for Classes AA, A, and B begins on Thursday.
This year, both the AA and A tournaments will be hosted in Rapid City at the Monument, with games being held in the main arena and the ice arena.
The Class B tournament will be held in Aberdeen at the Barnett Center, on the campus of Northern State University.
