The Yankton School District is adjusting its school calendar for the next two years due to Riverboat Days.
YSD Superintendent, Dr. Wayne Kindle, says typically, they start school the Monday after Riverboat Days, but with Riverboat Days scheduled for August 21-23 this year, that would be too late for the first day of school.
Kindle says the changes to the school calendar will include an in-service day on August 14th and a no school day on August 21st so students and staff members can celebrate Riverboat Days.
