Vermillion has been honored with two major recognitions this week.
Hanna DeLange, with Vermillion Area Chamber and Development Company, says the first is the Community of the Year award by the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
DeLange says Vermillion was also named the Best Small Town Arts Scene by the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the second year in a row.
Vermillion Mayor John Cole added that both honors show that Vermillion has strong momentum and steady progress in quality of life and long-term stability.
