A Newcastle man was killed in a single vehicle rollover just west of Obert, Nebraska on Tuesday.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that an eastbound 2001 Ford pickup driven by Austin Burcham, 26, of Newcastle ran off the roadway, overcorrected, and rolled down an embankment. Burcham was ejected from the vehicle.
Burcham was transported to a hospital in Vermillion, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
