The City of Yankton is reporting a sales tax revenue rise for the month of January.
City Manager Amy Leon says Yankton saw a 13.8% improvement over January 2025.
Leon says while she was happy with those numbers, she is cautious because of the city’s struggles with sales tax revenue in 2025.
Leon says the city will need a couple more months to see if the positive numbers turn into a trend.
