The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles are on the road tonight for a boys and girls basketball doubleheader against Sioux Falls Christian.
Both Yankton squads find themselves in the SoDak 16 with six games remaining. The Bucks and Gazelles both enter 13th in Class AA.
The girls play first at 6:00 PM, with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 with Brayden Butler.
The Mount Marty Lancers travel to Seward, Nebraska, tomorrow night for a GPAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball doubleheader against Concordia.
Wednesday will be the regular season finale for the Lancer men, while the women will play one final game at home on Saturday against the College of Saint Mary.
The women play first at 6:00 PM, with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15.
Yankton Wrestling coaches Robert Coyle III and Jason Yaggie, and UHS Tennis coach Ryan Hage will be the featured guest speakers at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club meet.
Coyle is in his 3rd year as the head wrestling coach for the Bucks, while Yaggie is in his first season at the helm for the Gazelles.
Hage is coming off a 5th place finish for the Gazelles at the state tournament this past fall, and is preparing to lead the Bucks when their season begins on March 27th.
The meeting will begin at noon at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton. The public is invited to attend.
The Crofton Warriors will face Norfolk Catholic tonight in the Subdistrict C2-5 girls basketball semifinals in Tilden, NE.
The Warriors are the #2 seed in Subdistrict C2-5, while Norfolk Catholic is enters as the #3 seed.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM this evening. Pregame coverage on KYNTV begins at 7:15 with Scott Ulrich.
The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats advanced to the semifinals of the girls basketball D1-4 Subdistricts last night, defeating Tri County Northeast 55-54.
The Wildcats are back in action today, taking on top-seeded Bancroft-Rosalie at 6:00 PM.
Cedar Catholic girls basketball takes on Lyons-Decatur Northeast tonight in the Subdistrict D1-4 semifinal. Tip-off from Bancroft, Nebraska, is set for 7:30 PM.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball returns home tomorrow night to host North Dakota State in Summit League play.
Tip-off between the Jackrabbits and the Bison is scheduled for 7:00 PM Wednesday at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings.
Bloomfield’s Owen Kuchar and Cedar Catholic’s Brady Hochstein have been selected to compete in the 68th Nebraska Shrine Football Game.
Kuchar and Hochstein will be part of the “north” roster. The game will be held at Cope Field on the University of Nebraska-Kearney campus on June 6th.
