Mount Marty and Yankton Thrive hosted a welcome reception for new university president Dr. Mark Brown on Thursday.
Brown, who took over as the university’s 12th president at the beginning of the new year, donated $100,000 towards a new residence hall for the university during his first day on the job.
Brown said during the reception Thursday that the future residence hall is one of his top priorities.
Brown said the board is excited to continue to think through the opportunities to move that project forward.
