The Yankton Bucks fell to the #2-ranked Sioux Falls Roosevelt Roughriders last night, 64-52, in Class AA Boys Basketball action.
The Bucks held the lead at the halftime break, but a second-half surge saw the Roughriders pull away in the end.
The Bucks are off until next Friday when they host Rapid City Stevens at Yankton High School.
The Yankton Gazelles picked up their third win in the past week last night, defeating Sioux Falls Roosevelt 62-41.
Eden Wolgram led with 16 points. Jordyn Kudera, Nora Krajewski, Josslyn Elwood, and September Rauch all followed with 8 each.
The Gazelles are off until next Friday when they host Rapid City Stevens at Yankton High School.
The Mount Marty Lancers host the Northwestern Red Raiders tomorrow afternoon in a GPAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Doubleheader.
The Lancers swept the Red Raiders when the two schools met earlier this season in Orange City, Iowa.
The women play first at 2:00 PM, with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 1:15 with Tehl Tanner on the call.
Yankton Gazelles Wrestling will host their first ever standalone girls wrestling tournament tonight at the Summit Activities Center.
Athletes from thirty-four different schools are currently scheduled to compete in the event.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks Hockey travels to Mitchell tonight to take on the Mitchell Marlins. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics travels to Watertown tomorrow afternoon for the Class AA State Team Qualifier.
Events will be held at Watertown High School beginning at 2:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks Wrestling will host a varsity invitational tomorrow at the Summit Activities Center.
Wrestlers from 16 different schools are scheduled to compete in the event. Matches are set to begin at 9:00 AM.
Mount Marty Baseball begins their season on Sunday with a doubleheader against Mount Mercy.
Games will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, beginning at noon.
Mount Marty Softball opens their 2026 campaign on Sunday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The Lancers will play Culver-Stockton first at 1:30 PM, before taking on Benedictine College at 3:30.
Mount Marty Track and Field is scheduled to send athletes to multiple events today, as the Lancers will be represented at the Frank Sevigne Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Wayne State Invitational in Wayne.
Both events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM this morning.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball picked up a 53-42 road victory over the Denver Pioneers last night.
Angelina Robles led USD in scoring with 14 points, followed by 10 from Molly Joyce. Patience Williams posted a game-high 15 rebounds for the Coyotes.
USD is back in action tomorrow as they take on Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
The South Dakota Coyotes and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits will square off tomorrow afternoon in Summit League Men’s Basketball play.
Tip-off between the two rivals is scheduled for 5:00 PM inside First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings.
