Today’s scheduled basketball games between Yankton and Sioux Falls Roosevelt have been postponed due to severe weather.
No makeup date has been announced at this time. Yankton will host O’Gorman in a doubleheader for their next slate of games on Tuesday.
Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics had their scheduled dual with Estelline-Hendricks postponed yesterday.
The two teams will now face off on February 2nd in Hendricks, Minnesota. Events will begin at 6:00 PM.
The Yankton Bucks swept Vermillion and Dakota Valley last night in their wrestling triangular at Vermillion High School.
The Bucks topped Dakota Valley 75-5. Ethan Smith (126), Evan Jackman (132), Joelton Reimnitz-Hahn (138), Caden Janssen (144), Nathan Bohlmann (150), Zane Portillo (157), Peyton Eustace (190), and Edly Amaro (215) all won via pinfall.
Reimnitz-Hahn, Eustace, and Amaro also won by pinfall in the Bucks’ 65-18 win over Vermillion, as did Shayce Platt (165), CorBin Sayler (175), and Drace Gaskins (285). Damian Janish (113) won via tech fall.
Next up for Yankton is a triangular against Huron and Tea Area on Tuesday in Huron. Matches begin at 5:00 PM.
The Yankton Gazelles went 2-0 in their wrestling triangular last night against Vermillion and Dakota Valley.
Yankton took 24-6 wins over both Dakota Valley and Vermillion. Adrianna Boucher (100) and Jaclyn Kyte (140) both won via pinfall for the Gazelles against Vermillion. The lone match held between Yankton and Dakota Valley was won by DV’s Kaelynn Rasmussen, with the remaining points decided via forfeits.

Mount Marty Basketball returns home for the first time since January 3rd tomorrow afternoon, as they host Waldorf in a GPAC doubleheader.
Entering the weekend, the Lancer Men hold an 8-5 conference record, and are currently tied for 2nd in the conference with Concordia.
On the women’s side, MMU is in a three-way tie for 6th with Morningside and Doane at 6-8.
The women will play first at 2:00 PM tomorrow, followed by the men. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 1:15 with Tehl Tanner on the call.
Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field is scheduled to compete in the Concordia University Polar Dog Invitational today in Seward, Nebraska. Events are set to begin at 10:00 AM.
Avon Pirates Head Girls Basketball Coach Brad Poppe picked up his 500th career victory last night, as Avon defeated Andes Central-Dakota Christian 60-30.
Poppe has coached at Avon for the past 31 years, leading the team to a dozen state tournament appearances.
The all-time record for wins as a South Dakota High School Girls Basketball head coach is 630, held by Jim Bridge.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball hosts St. Thomas tomorrow afternoon. Tip-off from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball defeated the Omaha Mavericks last night, 67-39 in Omaha.
Molly Joyce (16) and Angelina Robles (15) combined for 31 of USD’s points. Josie Hill and Patience Williams tied for the team-high in rebounds with 8.
The Coyotes will travel to Fargo, ND, tomorrow to take on North Dakota State. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball fell to St. Thomas last night, 74-69 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Joe Sayler led the Jacks in scoring with 24 points, followed by 12 from Matthew Mors and 10 from Damon Wilkinson.
The Jackrabbits are off until next Wednesday when they travel to Omaha, Nebraska, to take on the Omaha Mavericks.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball will take on the Kansas City Roos tomorrow in Kansas City, Missouri. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
