Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball were swept by the Vermillion Tanagers last night in their doubleheader in Vermillion.
The Gazelles lost 56-43 in the opener. Eden Wolfgram recorded 18 points for the Gazelles. Jordyn Kudera had a team-high 7 rebounds.
The Tanagers would defeat the Bucks in the nightcap 74-60. Jackson Kudera (17) and Owen Eidsness (15) led the Bucks in scoring on the night.
The Bucks and Gazelles travel to Mitchell on Friday for their next games in an ESD doubleheader against the Kernels.
Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball travels to Orange City, Iowa, tonight to take on Northwestern.
The Lancers split their doubleheader with Morningside over the weekend, as the women won 67-58 while the men lost 86-63.
The women are set to play first at 6:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 with Tehl Tanner.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling were both swept in their home triangular last night.
The Bucks fell to Pierre, 54-21. Zane Portillo picked up a pinfall for the Bucks, with Corbin Sayler, Edly Amaro, and Colton Archer earning technical falls. Brookings defeated the Bucks in dual two 51-22. Archer picked up another tech fall for Yankton.
The Gazelles fell to Brookings via a tiebreaker despite winning two of the three matches, as Jaclyn Kyte and Alexis Brenden were both victorious. The Gazelles fell to Pierre in their other matchup 60-17. Brenden won her match again, with Winry Yaggie and Chloe Caton earning wins as well.
Yankton travels to Harrisburg tomorrow for a triangular with Harrisburg and Mitchell. Matches begin at 5:00 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball travels to St. Paul, Minnesota, tonight to take on St. Thomas.
Tip-off between the Coyotes and the Tommies is scheduled for 8:00 PM.

The Yankton Quarterback Club returns from their Holiday break today at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton.
