The Bucks are looking for their first win of the season, after entering the holiday break with a loss to Sioux Falls Lincoln.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball will host Morningside tomorrow afternoon in their first GPAC doubleheader of 2026.
The Lancer men enter the contest with a 6-7 overall record, 5-3 in GPAC play, while the women are 9-6, 4-5 in conference.

Yankton Gazelles Wrestling travels to McCook Central High School this morning for a varsity invitational.
Today’s event will be the first for the Gazelles since December 19th. Matches are scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics hosts Harrisburg this evening in a makeup of their previously postponed dual.
Events will be held at River City Gymnastics & Cheer in Yankton beginning at 5:30 PM.
Yankton Bucks Hockey travels to Sioux Falls this evening to take on the Flyers of Sioux Falls West.
The Bucks are 5-2 on the season, coming off an 11-1 win over Huron in their last game on December 20th.

South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball dropped their first conference game on Wednesday, losing to North Dakota State 84-61.
Isaac Bruns posted a team-high 17 points in the loss. NDSU was led by a committee, as five different players scored in double figures.
The Coyotes travel to St. Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday, January 7th, to take on St. Thomas.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball opens Summit League play tomorrow against Kansas City.
The Coyotes enter conference play with a 10-4 overall record, including back-to-back wins to end 2025.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball started 2026 with an 84-69 home victory over the Omaha Mavericks last night.
Damon Wilkinson dominated in the win, scoring 24 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. Matthew Mors followed with 16 points on 7/11 shooting.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball is 1-0 to start their Summit League campaign following yesterday’s 67-49 win over St. Thomas.
Brooklyn Meyer was the catalyst for the Jackrabbits, scoring 22 points and adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
SDSU is back in action tomorrow, taking on the Omaha Mavericks in Omaha, Nebraska. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM.
