Mount Marty Women’s Basketball fell to Arizona Christian in a close game yesterday, 66-63, in Glendale, Arizona.
Kaela Martinez led the Lancers with a game-high 20 points. Alexis Folkers added 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Lancers are now off until they host Morningside on January 3rd in their first GPAC game of 2026.
Yankton Quarterback Club is off for the next two weeks due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Meetings will resume on January 7th with Summit League Commissioner Josh Fenton and YHS Basketball coaches Blake Savey (Gazelles) and Chris Haynes (Bucks).

Gazelles Gymnastics and Gazelles wrestling return to action first on January 2nd. Gymnastics will host Harrisburg in a dual, while wrestling travels to McCook Central High School for an invitational.
Bucks and Gazelles Basketball follows on January 3rd. The Bucks will host Aberdeen Central while the Gazelles will travel for their matchup with the Golden Eagles.
Yankton Bucks Wrestling will host a triangular on January 6th for their first matches of the new year, with Bucks and Gazelles Bowling resuming their seasons on January 9th.
Yankton Figure Skating had their winter showcase this past weekend at the Yankton Ice Arena.

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that they will leave their longtime home of Arrowhead Stadium in 2031.
The Chiefs will cross the border into Kansas with a brand new three-billion-dollar dome.
While an official site of the new stadium has not yet been decided, the Chiefs have expressed interest in land near the Kansas Speedway. The Chiefs have played at Arrowhead Stadium since the early 1970s.
