Mount Marty Senior Lacey Sprakel has been named the GPAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Sprakel averaged 24 points per game this past week, adding 6 rebounds and 2 assists per night. Sprakel was 16-for-17 from the free-throw line during the week and shot 55.2% from the field.
Sprakel and the Lancers return to action tonight against Hastings in Hastings, Nebraska, as part of a men’s and women’s doubleheader.
The women play first at 5:00 PM, with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 4:15 with Tehl Tanner on the call.
Yankton Gazelles Basketball was scheduled to travel to Huron last night to take on the Tigers, but that game has been postponed.
The Tigers and Gazelles will now square off on Thursday, January 29th, 2026 inside Huron Arena.
Next up for the Gazelles is a home matchup with Harrisburg on Friday as part of a boys and girls doubleheader.

South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball fell to the Wyoming Cowboys last night, 106-79, in Laramie, Wyoming.
Isaac Bruns led USD with 22 points and 4 rebounds in the loss. Uzziah Buntyn added 17 points, followed by 15 from Jesse McIntosh.
The Coyotes return home on Saturday to host Prairie View A&M. Tip-off from Vermillion is set for 1:00 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball will be in Peoria, Illinois, today to take on Bradley.
The 8-2 Coyotes are looking to bounce back from their 67-63 loss to Eastern Washington on Saturday.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball picked up their 6th win of the season last night, defeating Ball State 68-64.
Four different Jacks scored in double figures. Kalen Garry led with 15, followed by 14 from Damon Wilkinson, and 10 each from Jaden Jackson and Matthew Mors.
