ton Gazelles Basketball dominated their season opener on Friday, defeating Sioux Falls Lincoln 61-10.
Eden Wolfgram led the Gazelles with 15 points in the win, followed by 11 from Nora Krajewski. Krajewski and Jordyn Kudera both had three steals.
The Gazelles travel to Huron tomorrow to take on the Tigers. Tip-off from Huron Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.
Mount Marty Men’s Basketball picked up their 3rd conference win of the season on Saturday, defeating Briar Cliff 80-65.
Deegan Williams led the Lancers with 21 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Jake Jensen added 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball suffered their 3rd loss of the season on Saturday, losing to #8-ranked Briar Cliff 88-69.
Lacey Sprakel led MMU with a game-high 24 points, followed by 19 points from Kaela Martinez. All three Lancer losses this season have been to teams currently ranked inside the top 10 in the NAIA.

Three new indoor track and field records were set by Mount Marty this past week at the Wayne State Wildcat Opener.
Logan Ferrari broke his own school record in the 5,000 meters, winning the event in 14:27.66. Zelie Sorensen set a new record in the women’s 200-meter as well, finishing in 25.37 seconds. The third record set was a facility record, as Zavio Pratto, Carl Massa, Samuel Favaretto, and Bastuen Furstoss won the 1600 relay in 3:19.83.
Next up for the Lancers is the Concordia Early Bird on December 12th and 13th in Seward, Nebraska.
The Yankton Bucks went 2-1 this past weekend in the Marv Sherrill Dual Boys’ Wrestling Tournament in Watertown.
Yankton would defeat both Mitchell, 46-32, and Milbank, 64-18, during the event. Their lone loss came to Aberdeen Central 51-24.
The Bucks and Gazelles will travel to Lennox tomorrow for a boys’ and girls’ quadrangular at Lennox High School.
The South Dakota Coyotes advanced to the FCS Playoff Quarterfinals on Saturday with a 47-0 shutout of Mercer.
Both LJ Phillips Jr (159) and Carson Fletcher (107) eclipsed the 100-yard mark in rushing, with Phillips adding two touchdowns. The Coyotes posted 549 yards of total offense, while allowing 277 yards defensively.
USD travels to Missoula, Montana, this Saturday for their quarterfinal matchup with Montana. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 PM Central.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits had their season come to an end in the second round of the FCS Playoffs on Saturday, losing to Montana 50-29.
Quarterback Chase Mason threw for 326 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss. The Jackrabbits were held to 61 yards rushing as a team by the Grizzlies.
SDSU ends their season with a 9-5 overall record.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been selected to compete in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.
The Huskers will face Utah on New Year’s Eve. This is the 55th overall and second straight bowl appearance for the Huskers after an eight-year drought.

South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball fell to Northern Colorado on Saturday, 89-87, on a buzzer-beater in overtime.
Isaac Bruns led the Coyotes with 28 points in the loss. Cameron Fens added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
The 5-5 Coyotes travel to Laramie, Wyoming, tomorrow night to take on the Wyoming Cowboys. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM Central.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday, losing to Eastern Washington 67-63.
The Coyotes shot 27% from the field as a team in the loss. Angelina Robles and Elise Turrubiates (terr-OO-bee-AH-tays) both finished with 13 points.
The 8-2 Coyotes travel to Peoria, Illinois, for their next game on Wednesday against Bradley. Tip-off is set for 11:00 AM Central.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball fell in a close game with Idaho on Saturday, 84-81, in Brookings.
Jaden Jackson led SDSU with 21 points in the loss. Damon Wilkinson added 16 points and 7 rebounds.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball improved to 8-2 on Saturday with an 88-72 win over Northern Arizona.
Madison Mathiowetz (Math-o-witz) and Brooklyn Meyer combined for 56 of SDSU’s points, and both Jackrabbits ended with 28.
