YPD and Yankton County Sheriff’s Office Will Compete for a Good Cause

The Yankton County Sheriff’s Department and the Yankton Police Department will be pitted against each other on Friday for a good cause.

Both departments will be bell ringing at Hy-Vee to raise money for the Yankton Contact Center, which operates as a Salvation Army extension unit.

Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says he is looking forward to a friendly competition on Friday.

Foote says the YPD will be stationed at the north door of Hy-Vee while the sheriff’s department will be at the south door.

Both units will be at Hy-Vee from 10 am until 3 pm on Friday.
