The four lanes on Highway 81 north of Yankton recently opened up.
Greg Rothschadl, with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, says the speed limit is back up to 65, but traffic should expect a bit of remaining cleanup work on the highway.
The $25 million project began in November of 2023.
Rothschadl also says the stop light on Highway 52 and Deer Boulevard is switching to a flash mode signal system during the winter months.
Rothschadl says the switch was made because the DOT felt that flash mode will be more efficient for traffic.
Rothschadl says the DOT did a study of traffic in the area to help make the decision.
Rothschadl says this will be an annual switch throughout the winter months.
