Six Yankton Bucks have earned ESD All-Conference honors for the 2025 football season.
On offense, Quarterback Tate Beste, Wide Receiver Owen Eidsness, and Offensive Tackle Austin Conway were all selected.
Two members of the Bucks defense were selected, Defensive Back Cale Haselhorst and Defensive Lineman Edly Amaro. Punter Liam Villanueva was selected as the lone special teams honoree.
The Bucks host Sturgis this Friday night in the 11AA Semifinals at Crane-Youngworth Field.
Mount Marty Women’s Basketball eclipsed 100 points for the third time this season last night, defeating Ecclesia 102-30.
The Lancers forced 32 turnovers in the win. Fourteen different Lancers scored in the win, led by Leah Williams with 13.
Mount Marty travels to York, Nebraska, for their next game against York University on Friday.
The Yankton Gazelles fell to the Watertown Arrows last night, three sets to one in Watertown.
The Arrows claimed the first set 25-16 before the Gazelles tied it up with a 25-23 set two. Watertown would pull away in the end, winning the final two sets 25-19 and 25-14.
The Gazelles conclude their regular season tonight, hosting the Brookings Bobcats inside the Summit Activities Center. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
Mount Marty Women’s Soccer travels to Sioux City, Iowa, tonight to take on the Morningside Mustangs in the first round of the GPAC Tournament.
The Lancers enter as the #8 seed with a 4-4-3 conference record. The Mustangs are the #1 seed in the tournament.
Kickoff from Sioux City, Iowa, is set for 7:00 PM this evening.
Mount Marty Volleyball has their regular season finale tonight, hosting the College of Saint Mary inside Cimpl Arena.
The Lancers enter the contest with a 12-14 overall record, 5-10 in GPAC play. The Flames carry a 14-12 record, including a 7-8 mark in GPAC play.

South Dakota State Head Women’s Basketball Coach Aaron Johnston will be the featured guest speaker at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting.
Johnston is in his 26th season as SDSU head coach, tallying 628 wins and 13 NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure.
The meeting will be held at the River Rock Event Center. A meal will be available for purchase beginning at 11:15, with the meeting set to begin at noon. The public is invited to attend.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball fell in their season opener against Utah Tech last night, 81-79 in overtime.
Isaac Bruns led USD in scoring with 23 points in the loss. Freshman Vince Buzelis recorded a team-high 11 rebounds.
The Coyotes travel to Omaha, Nebraska, tomorrow night to take on the Creighton Blue Jays. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball is 1-0 to start their 2025-26 season following last night’s 104-33 win over York.
The Coyotes forced 30 turnovers in the win. Elise Turrubiates and Katy Reyerson tied for the team-high in scoring with 16 points.
The Coyotes are back in action on Friday, hosting Air Force inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits started their men’s basketball season with a win last night, defeating Merrimack 75-66.
Jaden Jackson posted a game-high 23 points for SDSU. Yankton alum Matthew Mors finished just shy of a double-double with 16 points and 9 rebounds, adding 3 steals, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
The Jackrabbits have their home opener on Thursday, hosting Dakota State inside First Bank & Trust Arena.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball started their campaign with a 78-62 road victory over Creighton last night in Omaha, Nebraska.
Brooklyn Meyer led the Jackrabbits in the win, posting 33 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 blocks, leading the team in all but rebounds.
The Jacks have their home opener on Friday, as they host Rice inside First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings.
