Yankton High School had nine total athletes selected as All-ESD honorees for Competitive Cheer and Dance.
The Dance team boasts five honorees, all seniors. Selected this year were Aria Beaudette, Taeya Kennedy, Cami Larsen, Paige Reese, and Olivia Wintz.
Four members of the Yankton Cheer team were selected. Freshman Avery Brinkman, Junior Quinn Brinkman, and Seniors Cadence Larson and Mariam Touray.
Yankton Bucks Football begins postseason play this evening, as they host the Spearfish Spartans in round one of the 11AA Playoffs.
The Bucks are the #1 seed in 11AA after finishing the regular season as ESD Conference Champions with a 7-2 record. The Spartans enter the postseason as the #8 seed with a 5-4 record.

Mount Marty Volleyball improved to 11-14 last night with a 3-1 victory over the Hastings Broncos.
Julia Weber powered the Lancer attack in the win, leading the team in kills with 16, assists with 24, and total points with 17.
The Lancers return home on Saturday for their penultimate game of the regular season against Doane. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
Mount Marty Women’s Soccer ended their regular season last night with a 3-1 loss to the College of Saint Mary.
Rhyli Grim scored the lone goal of the match for the Lancers, assisted by Mika Moriera. Brooklyn McNac recorded three saves in net.
The Lancers conclude the regular season with a 7-7-3 overall record and a 4-4-3 mark in GPAC play, earning a spot in the GPAC Tournament for the second time in program history.
Mount Marty Men’s Basketball travels to Hillsboro, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday for a pair of non-conference games.
The Lancer Men are 1-0 on the year, as they prepare for Wayland Baptist on Friday night and Tabor College on Saturday.
Both games are scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.

The Lancers are 1-0 following their 107-33 win over Kansas Christian last week in their season opener.

The Cedar Catholic Trojans enter the NSAA C2 Football Playoffs as the #1 seed, as they host #16 Hershey tomorrow night in round one.
The Trojans completed an undefeated season with a 9-0 record. Cedar Catholic was dominant throughout the year, outscoring their opponents 306-61.
