A Vermillion man died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash last Thursday on Interstate 29 at exit 18.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2024 Subaru Outback was traveling northbound when his vehicle left the roadway, crossed the median and went into the southbound lane of traffic.
The Outback struck the rear of a southbound Toyota Tundra, with both vehicles coming to rest in the west ditch.
The driver of the Subaru, a 58-year-old Vermillion man, was transported to a Sioux City hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Toyota was treated at the scene and released.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
