Mount Marty Volleyball fell to 10-13 last night, as they were swept 3-0 in the GPAC matchup with Concordia.

All three sets were decided by 5 points or fewer, as the Bulldogs ended with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-23 victory.

Jaya Wachholtz posted a team-high 9 kills in the loss, followed by 7 from Caitlin Guenther. Julia Weber recorded 26 assists and 13 digs.

Three of the Lancers’ final four matches will be at home, beginning on Saturday as they host Midland inside Cimpl Arena. First serve is set for noon.

Mount Marty Men’s Soccer played the Hastings Broncos to a scoreless draw last night in Hastings, Nebraska.

Esteban Gomez maintained a shutout, saving all four shots he faced. The Lancers recorded three shots on target in the loss.

The Lancer Men conclude their season on Sunday at home against Waldorf.

Mount Marty Women’s Soccer tied with the Hastings Broncos last night, 1-1, in Hastings, Nebraska.

Angelina Hopwood scored the lone goal for the Lancers in the draw. Brooklyn McNac recorded five saves in net.

The Lancer Women return home on Sunday for their penultimate game of the regular season against Waldorf.

The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats begin postseason play tonight in the NSAA Class D1 Football playoffs against Wisner-Pilger.

The Wildcats enter as the #19 seed in Class D1. The Wisner-Pilger Gators will host the game as the #14 seed.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball open their 2025 campaign tonight, hosting Kansas Christian in a doubleheader.

Both Lancer teams were picked to finish 8th in the GPAC this season. The Lancer Men were 10-17 last season, while the women finished at 12-16.

Yankton Bucks Football ends their regular season tonight, traveling to Mitchell to take on the Kernels.

The Bucks enter the game as the #2 team in 11AA with a 6-2 record. The Kernels are currently outside of a postseason spot, as they are 1-7 overall.

Yankton Gazelles Volleyball begins play in the East/West Tournament tomorrow afternoon, playing five matches over two days in Harrisburg.

The Gazelles will face Spearfish and Rapid City Stevens in their first two games on Friday, with matches beginning at 4:00 PM.

Matches will conclude on Saturday as Yankton faces Sturgis, Douglas, and Rapid City Central.

The Cedar Catholic Trojans have their final football game of the regular season tomorrow night, taking on Norfolk Catholic in Norfolk, Nebraska.

The Trojans and Knights both enter their regular season finales with impressive records. Cedar Catholic is undefeated at 8-0, while Norfolk Catholic is 7-1.
