Wayne State Head Football Coach Logan Masters will be the featured guest speaker at today’s Yankton Quarterback Club Meeting at the River Rock Event Center.
Masters is in his 4th season as the Head Coach of the Wildcats. He holds a 20-10 overall record at the helm, and is 3-4 so far this season.
A meal will be available for purchase beginning at 11:15 AM, with the program scheduled to begin at noon. The public is invited to attend.
Mount Marty Women’s Golf placed 3rd as a team at the Battle at the Dance Golf Tournament, shooting a 688 as a team.
Kamri Kittelson and Abigail Greenhoff both finished top-10 individually, as Kittelson placed 7th and Greenhoff tied for 9th. Following closely was Trinity Palmquist, who tied for 12th.
The tournament was the final one of the fall for the Lancers, with the season set to resume in the spring.
Mount Marty Men’s Golf placed 6th out of 10 teams at the Battle of the Dance Golf Tournament, which concluded yesterday in Windsor, Colorado.
The Lancers shot a 933 as a team over the three-round tournament. Wout Kerkhoffs led the team, tying for 8th individually. Leo Garcia also finished inside the top-20, tying for 16th.
The tournament was the final one of the fall for the Lancers, with the season set to resume in the spring.
Mount Marty Volleyball travels to Orange City, Iowa, tonight for a GPAC matchup with the Northwestern Red Raiders.
The Lancers are 10-11 on the year, 3-7 in GPAC play, coming off a 3-0 sweep over Briar Cliff this past weekend. The Red Raiders enter the match as the #1 team in the GPAC and the #7 team in the country, with a perfect 10-0 record in conference play.
First serve is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Soccer hosts the Doane Tigers tonight in a GPAC doubleheader at Crane-Youngworth Field.
The Lancer men are 2-5-2 on the year, and are looking for their first GPAC win of the season with a 0-4-2 conference record.
The Lancer women are in the midst of their most successful season in program history so far, with a 6-4-2 overall record, 3-1-2 in GPAC play.
The men are scheduled to play first at 5:00 PM, with the women to follow.
Yankton Cross Country has their final meet of the regular season tomorrow afternoon at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.
The varsity girls will run first at 4:00 PM, with the varsity boys’ race to follow. A rolling schedule will be in effect.
Yankton Competitive Cheer and Dance travels to Brookings tomorrow afternoon for the ESD Conference Meet.
The competition will be held at Brookings High School, with events scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball returns home tomorrow night to host the Pierre Governors inside the Summit Activities Center.
The Gazelles will play in front of their home crowd for the first time in nearly a month, with their last home match being a 3-0 sweep of Vermillion on September 22nd.

The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats host the Bloomfield Bees tomorrow night in a Thursday night edition of Northeast Nebraska High School Football on Riverfront Sports.
The Wildcats are 5-2 on the year after their 46-36 win over Boyd County last week. The Bees enter tomorrow’s contest with a 6-1 record.
