The City of Yankton has updated its tree ordinance.
City Manager, Amy Leon, says one of the reasons for the update is because of an insect called an Emerald Ash Borer that is killing ash trees in North America.
The Yankton City Commission unanimously agreed to the updated ordinance at Tuesday’s meeting.
