Yankton Bucks Football returns to the field tonight, as they host the defending 11-AA State Champions, the Watertown Arrows.
Yankton is 1-0 to start their season, following their 41-24 victory over Huron in week one. The Arrows fell to Sioux Falls Jefferson in their first game, 51-7.

The Mount Marty Lancers open their GPAC football slate tomorrow afternoon with a road matchup against the Waldorf Warriors.

Mount Marty Men’s golf tied for 6th in the 16-team Blue River Classic, which concluded yesterday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Lancers shot a final round 298 as a unit, bringing their two-day total to 911, tying with Midland. Guus Van Loon led the Lancers, tying for 22nd individually with a 223.
The Lancers travel to Sioux Center, Iowa for their next event, the Siouxland Classic on September 8th.
Yankton Bucks Soccer picked up thei third straight win, while the Gazelles played to a draw for their second straight match last night in their boys and girls doubleheader against O’Gorman.
The Bucks defeated the Knights 1-0 in game one, while defense won the day in the Gazelles matchup, with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.
The Bucks and Gazelles return home on Tuesday, hosting Brandon Valley in a doubleheader. The Bucks play first at 5:00 PM with the Gazelles to follow.
Mount Marty Volleyball has their home opener tomorrow afternoon, as they host Concordia inside Cimpl Arena.
The Lancers are 6-3 to start their season, coming off a 3-1 loss to Morningside earlier this week.
First serve is scheduled for 3:00 PM tomorrow afternoon.
Yankton Cross Country has their second meet of the season tomorrow night, as they compete in the Augustana Twilight Meet in Sioux Falls.
The varsity girls’ 5K will begin at 7:00, followed by the boys’ 5K at 7:30. The Mount Marty Lancers will also participate in the meet, with collegiate events starting at 8:00 PM.
The races will be held at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.
Yankton Bucks Golf has a quadrangular this morning at the Brandon Golf Course in Brandon.
Yankton will face Brandon Valley, Harrisburg, and O’Gorman during the event. Tee time is set for 9:00 AM.
Yankton Gazelles Tennis travels to Mitchell today for a varsity triangular at Hitchcock Park.
Yankton will face Sioux Falls Jefferson first at 10:00 AM, followed by a match with Spearfish at 1:00. The Gazelles will not face Mitchell during the event.
Crofton Warriors football will host the Summerland Bobcats tonight in their 2025 home opener.
The Warriors are 0-1 to start the year, coming off a 78-76 loss to Wynot last week in quadruple overtime.

Yankton Cheer and Dance finished 5th in dance and 10th in cheer at yesterday’s varsity invitational in Mitchell.
Dance scored a 35 to take 5th out of 17 teams, led by a 3rd place finish in pom. Cheer scored 220 to finish 10th out of 20 teams.
Yankton will be at home for their next competition on September 11th.
The South Dakota Coyotes have their first FCS game of the college football season tomorrow afternoon, taking on Lamar in Beaumont, Texas.
The Coyotes are 0-1 on the year following their 55-7 loss to Iowa State in their season opener.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM tomorrow night.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits travel to Bozeman, Montana, tomorrow afternoon for a top-5 matchup in the FCS.
The Jackrabbits are ranked #2 in the latest poll following their season-opening win over Sacramento State. Montana State comes in ranked just behind at #3.
Kickoff from Bozeman, Montana, is set for 7:00 PM central.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have their home opener tomorrow afternoon, as they host the Akron Zips at Memorial Stadium.
The Huskers kicked off their season with a 20-17 win over Cincinnati last week at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
