It’s week two of the Carrie Jones trial, and three employees at businesses in Laurel testified Monday that they did not feel offended or threatened by inappropriate jokes made by Gene Twiford.
Twiford was one of four people killed by Jason Jones in Laurel on Aug. 4, 2022. Jones’ wife, Carrie Jones, 46, is standing trial for Twiford’s murder after she allegedly pressured her husband to kill Twiford over alleged sexual harassment by Twiford.
Testimony also indicates that Carrie Jones did not report Twiford’s behavior to law enforcement. The prosecution will continue to call witnesses on Tuesday.
