The Yankton School District’s Superintendent is imploring federal funds for K-12 schools being withheld by the Trump administration to be released.
Dr. Wayne Kindle, who recently was in Washington D.C. representing the South Dakota School Superintendents Association, says he met with Senator John Thune, as well as the offices of Senator Mike Rounds, and Representative Dusty Johnson to discuss the issue.
Kindle says this impacts students and teachers.
Nearly $6.8 billion in federal funding that has been approved for K-12 schools are currently being withheld.
