Over 450 people attended a “No Kings” rally at Memorial Park in Yankton on Saturday to protest the Trump administration.
Rally organizer Paul Harnes says Saturday’s event was part of a nationwide movement that saw over 1400 protests across the country including multiple in South Dakota.
Harnes says that he hopes that the main takeaway from the event is that people care about what’s happening in the country, regardless of political affiliation.
National outlets estimate that over five million people took part in “No Kings” protests across the country this past weekend.
