A pair of Yankton track athletes are looking to raise money for a trip to Eugene, Oregon, for the upcoming Nike Outdoor Nationals.
Connor Slaba, who competed at the Nike Nationals last year, recalls the event and how it transitioned into his senior high school season.
Rozlyn Adamson enters the Outdoor Nationals on the opposite end of her career as an 8th grader who’s already rewritten several Yankton High School records.
Slaba is currently scheduled to compete in the “emerging elite” 200- and 400-meter runs, while Adamson is scheduled for the 100 and is first on the waitlist for the 200 in the “middle school” division.
The Yankton school district is accepting donations for trip expenses. Donations can be dropped off at Yankton High School.
