This week is National Police Week. Yankton Police Chief, Jason Foote, says this week is about remembering officers that have died in the line of duty.
Foote says YPD officers are wearing bands around their badges in honor of those fallen officers.
Foote says he and the rest of the YPD are grateful for the thanks and appreciation that they receive from the community.
