Mount Marty Baseball is one win away from the GPAC Championship following their 10-4 win over Doane yesterday afternoon.
The Lancers trailed 4-1 entering the 5th inning, before scoring 9 unanswered runs, including 6 runs in the 6th inning.
Aidan Chang finished 2 for 3 with 3 RBI in the win. Slayder Watterson picked up the victory on the mound.
The Lancers will face Morningside today for the Pod Championship. Mount Marty only needs to win one of the two possible games to advance to the GPAC Championship next week.
First pitch of game one is set for noon today with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 11:30. Tehl Tanner and Brayden Butler will be on the call.

- If Mount Marty wins, they advance to Monday’s GPAC Championship.

- If Briar Cliff wins, they advance to Monday’s GPAC Championship.

Yankton Bucks Baseball travels to Brandon, SD, tonight for a doubleheader against Brandon Valley.
Yankton is 15-3 on the year and were 5th in the latest Class A standings. Brandon Valley were 8th at the last update.
First pitch of game one is set for 6:00 PM tonight, with game two to follow.
Yankton Gazelles Softball hosts O’Gorman tonight in a makeup game that was scheduled for April 24th.
Yankton is 3-6 on the year following a 14-8 win over the Mitchell Kernels earlier this week.
First pitch is set for 6:00 PM tonight at Sertoma Park.
Yankton Track and Field will be in Sioux Falls today for the meet at O’Gorman and the opening day of the Howard Wood Relays at Howard Wood Field.
Today’s events at O’Gorman are scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, with the Howard Wood Relays beginning at 1:00 PM. The Howard Wood Relays conclude on Saturday with events starting at 9:00 AM.
Yankton Gazelles Golf will compete against Brandon Valley, Harrisburg, and O’Gorman this morning at Bakker Crossing Golf Course. Tee time is set for 11:00 AM.
Yankton Bucks Tennis went 2-0 yesterday in Brookings, defeating Brookings 8-1 and Watertown 5-4.
Yankton swept singles play against Brookings. Zachary Briggs and Harrison Krajewski went undefeated in singles and doubles play across the two duals.
The Bucks travel to Mitchell on Monday for a pair of ESD matchups with the Kernels and the Pierre Governors. Matches begin at 10:30 AM.
Mount Marty Track and Field will be in Hastings, Nebraska, the next two days for the GPAC Outdoor Championships. Today’s events are scheduled to begin at noon, with tomorrow’s action starting at 10:00 AM.
