Mount Marty Baseball upset the #2-seeded Morningside Mustangs yesterday with an 8-5 win on day one of the GPAC Tournament.
Aidan Chang finished with 3 RBI and a home run in the win. Aspen Dahl shut the game down late, striking out four of seven batters faced in the last two innings.
The Lancers take on #3 Doane today at noon, with the winner earning a spot in tomorrow’s pod championship. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 11:30. Tehl Tanner and Brayden Butler will be on the call.
Also in the GPAC Tournament, Morningside will play Northwestern in an elimination game at 3:00 PM. Coverage for the game will be available on KYNTV beginning fifteen minutes before the first pitch.

Yankton Bucks Baseball travels to Brandon, SD, tomorrow night for a doubleheader against Brandon Valley.
Yankton is 15-3 on the year and were 5th in the latest Class A standings. Brandon Valley were 8th at the last update.
First pitch of game one is set for 6:00 PM tomorrow night with game two to follow.
Yankton Gazelles Softball hosts O’Gorman tomorrow night in a makeup game that was scheduled for April 24th.
Yankton is 3-6 on the year following a 14-8 win over the Mitchell Kernels earlier this week.

Yankton Bucks Tennis travels to Brookings today for a triangular against Brookings and Watertown.
Yankton is scheduled to face Brookings at 10:00 AM this morning before taking on Watertown at noon.
Yankton Track and Field will be in Sioux Falls tomorrow for the meet at O’Gorman and the opening day of the Howard Wood Relays at Howard Wood Field.
Tomorrow’s events at O’Gorman are scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, with the Howard Wood Relays beginning at 1:00 PM. The Howard Wood Relays conclude on Saturday with events starting at 9:00 AM.
Yankton Gazelles Golf will compete against Brandon Valley, Harrisburg, and O’Gorman tomorrow at Bakker Crossing Golf Course. Tee time is set for 11:00 AM.
Mount Marty Freshman Roger Suklian has been named one of three GPAC Men’s Tennis Players of the Year.
Suklian joins Joren Stevens from Midland and Nick Velders from Concordia in being named players of the Year.
Suklian was the lone Lancer selected as a GPAC All-Conference honoree as well. Suklian and the Lancers finished the season with a 7-7 overall record, 4-2 in GPAC play.
