Yankton Bucks Basketball returns home tonight to host the Pierre Governors inside the Summit Activities Center.
Yankton is currently 2-11 on the season following an overtime loss to Brandon Valley on Friday. Pierre enters tonight’s game with a 4-8 overall record.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM this evening. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.
Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow night in Hastings, Nebraska for a GPAC doubleheader against Hastings.
The Lancers split with the Broncos earlier this season when the two schools met in Yankton. The Lancers won the men’s game 72-47, but fell in the women’s game 75-60.
The women are set to play first at 5:00 PM tomorrow night with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 4:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will be on the road tonight for a pair of duals with the Pierre Governors.
Both Yankton squads are coming off an invitational in Brookings this past weekend. The Bucks placed 5th as a team with the Gazelles taking 7th.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM this evening at Pierre Riggs High School.
Mount Marty University head track & field and cross country coach Dan Fitzsimmons and Yankton High School head track and field coach Geoff Gross will be the featured guest speakers at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting.
Fitzsimmons is in year two at the helm for MMU, returning to Yankton after a successful tenure at the University of South Dakota. Fitzsimmon was the head track & field and cross country coach at Yankton High School. Prior to USD.
Gross is also in his second season for YHS, having previously coached at Mitchell and Pierre.
A meal will be available for purchase at 11:15 AM with the meeting scheduled to start at noon at the River Rock Event Center. The public is invited to attend.
A dozen Yankton High School student-athletes are scheduled to announce their collegiate signings tomorrow afternoon at Yankton High School.

Mount Marty Archer claimed three 1st place finishes over the weekend at the SDAA State Indoor Championships in Yankton.
Savannah Chouinard placed 1st for women’s barebow recurve, while Lalit Jain, men’s, and Catalina Herrera, women’s, took 1st in recurve.
In total, the Lancers had 9 top-3 finishers in their respective divisions.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball star Grace Larkins has been named to the United States Basketball Writers Association’s (USBWA) watch list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year.
Larkins is one of 50 athletes named to the list. She is currently top-50 in the NCAA in points per game, 24.4 (4th), rebounds per game, 9.4 (43rd), and assists per game, 5.6 (19th).
Along with the USBWA recognition, Larkins was also named the Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week yesterday afternoon.
South Dakota men’s basketball’s Dre Bullock has been named the Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week.
Bullock led the Coyotes with 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in their win over Omaha last week. The Mavericks had entered that game undefeated in conference play.
During the win, Bullock became the first USD player to eclipse 30 points in a game this season. Bullock and the Coyotes are back in action on Thursday against Denver.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball travels to Grand Forks, ND tomorrow night for a matchup with the North Dakota Fightin’ Hawks.
The Jackrabbits are the only team yet to lose a game in Summit League play this season, carrying a 19-3 overall record, 9-0 in the conference.
Tip-off from First Bank & Trust Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night.
