Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will be on the road tonight to take on the Brandon Valley Lynx in a Class AA doubleheader.
The Bucks are coming off a 55-45 loss to the Huron Tigers last night. Carson Ness led Yankton in scoring with 13 points, followed closely by freshman Jackson Kudera with 11.
The Gazelles have had a week off since their loss to the Sioux Falls Roosevelt Rough Riders last Friday night.
The girls are scheduled to play first at 6:00 PM with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.
Mount Marty Basketball is set to host Morningside tomorrow afternoon in a men’s and women’s doubleheader.
Both Lancer squads are coming off victories, as Mount Marty swept Doane in their doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Yankton Gazelles will host the 2025 ESD Gymnastics Meet tomorrow afternoon at Yankton High School.
Athletes from all Eastern South Dakota Conference schools will compete in the event, beginning at 12:00 PM noon.
The South Dakota Coyotes Football Program has announced that former Northwestern Red Raiders Defensive Coordinator Billy Kirch is the program’s next Defensive Coordinator.
Kirch takes the role from new head coach Travis Johansen who was promoted earlier this month. Kirch has been with the Red Raiders for the past 10 seasons, helping lead them to an NAIA National Championship in 2022 and earning the 2022 Footballscoop.com NAIA Coordinator of the Year Award.
Along with Kirch’s hiring, USD announced that defensive backs coach and defensive pass game coordinator Miles Taylor would now serve as Co-Defensive Coordinator.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will be on the road tomorrow for a varsity invitational at Brookings High School. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball suffered their fourth straight defeat last night, 77-54 at the hands of Kansas City.
Carley Duffney posted a team-high 17 points for USD. Grace Larkins finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.
USD is back home tomorrow afternoon, hosting North Dakota. Tip-off from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center is set for 2:00 PM.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball defeated the North Dakota State Bison last night, 72-62 in Fargo.
SDSU’s Oscar Cluff posted game-highs in scoring with 23 points, rebounds with 15, and blocks with 3. Joe Sayler added 19 points for the Jacks.
SDSU will be in North Dakota for their next game as well, taking on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in Grand Forks tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats split their boys and girls basketball doubleheader with Winnebago last night in Hartington.
The Wildcat girls fell to Winnebago 50-40, while the boys were able to defeat Winnebago 60-56. Brayden Lammers (14), Cole Rosener (13), and Austin Sudbeck (12) combined for 39 of the Wildcats’ points.
