Yankton Bucks Basketball picked up their first road win of the season last night, defeating Sioux Falls Jefferson 49-46.

Owen Eidness led Yankton in scoring with 13 points in the win. Eidsness scored 8 straight points in the second quarter to give the Bucks the lead.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bucks was Austin Conway with 12 points, with 10 coming in the 2nd half.

Yankton is back in action on Friday, hosting Sioux Falls Roosevelt.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball fell to the Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers last night, 66-39 in Yankton.

Eden Wolfgram led Yankton with 12 points in the loss. Olivia Chipman posted a team-high 5 rebounds for the Gazelles.

Yankton is back in action on Friday, taking on Sioux Falls Roosevelt in Sioux Falls.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball return home tonight to host Midland for a GPAC doubleheader.

Both Lancer squads are looking to get back into the win column after Dakota Wesleyan swept them in a doubleheader on Saturday.

The women play first at 6:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics defeated the Vermillion Tanagers in their dual last night, 130.15 to 110.7.

Avery Portillo claimed 1st place in the floor exercise for Yankton, finishing 3rd All-Around behind her teammate Marissa Byrkeland in 2nd.

Yankton travels to Hendricks, Minnesota, for a dual with Estelline-Hendricks on Thursday.

GPAC Commissioner Corey Westra will be the featured guest speaker at today’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting at the River Rock Event Center.

Westra has served as GPAC Commissioner since 2003. A paid meal will be served beginning at 11:15 with the meeting scheduled for noon. The public is invited to attend.

Yankton Club Bowling swept the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers last night in a pair of duals at the Empire Bowl in Sioux Falls.

The Bucks earned their 10th win of the season, defeating the Chargers 31-17. Parker Kisch had a 238 high game and 646 series followed by Liam Villanueva with a 218 high game and 646 series to lead the Bucks.

The Gazelles took home their 9th win of the year, beating the Chargers 49-1. Phoebe Shipps rolled a 256 high game and 634 series to lead Yankton, followed by Cadynce Bonzer who finished with a 267 high game and 627 series

Yankton is off until their January 31st home matchup with Sioux Falls Lincoln.

South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball returns home tonight, hosting North Dakota State inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

The Coyotes are 9-10 on the year, 3-2 in conference play, following their loss to North Dakota last week.

Tip-off from Vermillion is set for 7:00 PM this evening.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball will be on the road in Grand Forks tomorrow night to take on North Dakota.

The Coyotes are 11-9 on the year with a 2-3 conference record following their loss to North Dakota State on Saturday.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM tomorrow night.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball takes on St. Thomas tonight in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Jacks are led by reigning Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week Brooklyn Meyer, who recently earned her 5th career honor.

Tip-off from St. Paul is scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow night for a Summit League matchup with Kansas City.

The Jackrabbits are looking to extend their winning streak to three straight following wins over Oral Roberts and North Dakota.
