Yankton Bucks Basketball fell in a close matchup with the Vermillion Tanagers last night, 49-47 in Yankton.
Sophomore Austin Conway led the Bucks with a game-high 18 points, followed by Carson Ness with 8. After the game head coach Chris Haynes spoke highly of Conway for using his size in the post.
Yankton is back in action on Friday for a boys and girls doubleheader against the Mitchell Kernels.
Yankton Gazelles Basketball was defeated by the Vermillion Tanagers last night, 59-23 in an interclass matchup.
Last night’s game was the first between the Gazelles and Tanagers since 1998. Yankton was led in scoring by Freshman September Rauch with 7 points.
Yankton is back in action on Friday for a boys and girls doubleheader against the Mitchell Kernels.
Mount Marty Women’s Basketball is in action tonight, hosting the College of Saint Mary inside Cimpl Arena.
The Lancers are 7-8 on the year following their first GPAC win on Saturday over Waldorf. The College of Saint Mary is 1-14 so far this season.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling are on the road in Mitchell tomorrow for a triangular against the Kernels and the Harrisburg Tigers.
Yankton will take on Harrisburg first at 5:00 PM, immediately followed by a dual with Mitchell. A rolling schedule will be used.
South Dakota Women’s Basketball has their first home game of 2025 tomorrow night, hosting the St. Thomas Tommies in Summit League play.
USD is 7-9 so far this season with a 5-3 record inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. St. Thomas enters the matchup at 8-7 overall, 0-2 in conference play.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball is on the road tonight to take on St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Jackrabbits are led by current co-Summit League Peak Performer of the Week Oscar Cluff, who’s averaging 17.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per game this season. St. Thomas’ Miles Barnstable also earned co-Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors this past week.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball returns to the hardwood tomorrow night, hosting the Omaha Mavericks.
Tomorrow’s game will be the first home game of 2025 for SDSU. The Jackrabbits are 12-3 so far this season with a 6-1 home record.
