Yankton Bucks Basketball starts their 2024-25 season tonight with a road matchup against Sioux Falls Washington.

Yankton was originally scheduled to open their season last Friday against Harrisburg, but that game was postponed due to weather.

Tip-off from Sioux Falls Washington High School is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball looks to pick up their first win of the season tonight, as they host Sioux Falls Washington inside the Summit Activities Center.

The Gazelles are 0-2 to start the season following a loss last week to Huron. Yankton hasn’t played since last Tuesday following the postponement of their game against Harrisburg on Friday.

Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field claimed 14 event victories this past weekend at the Snow Tiger Open in Mitchell.

The Lancer women claimed 10 event wins with the men taking home 4. Zelie Sorensen led the Lancer women with wins in the 60 and 200-meter runs, as well as being part of the 1600-relay team with Alexis Even, Josey Wahlstrom, and Hannah Killinger. Wahlstrom also won the 400-meter run.

Austin Gobel finished 1st in the 200 and 2nd in the 60 for the Lancer men. Logan Ferrari won the 3,000 and Owen Koontz won the 1,000 for MMU. The Lancers finished 1st and 2nd in the 600, with Jacob Kueny in 1st and Carl Massa in 2nd.

The Lancers are off for the Holiday break, with their next meet being the MMU Open on January 11th.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow night to take on the South Dakota Coyotes in Vermillion.

Tomorrow’s game will be an exhibition game for the Lancers due to playing against an NCAA Division I opponent.

Tipoff from Vermillion is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night. Pregame coverage on KYNT begins at 6:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

South Dakota State head men’s basketball coach Eric Henderson will be the featured guest speaker at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting.

Henderson and the Jackrabbits are 8-5 so far this season. Henderson is 117-53 in his career as SDSU head coach.

The meeting will begin at noon tomorrow at the River Rock Event Center. A paid meal will be available at 11:15. The public is invited to attend.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball concludes a three-game home stand tonight, hosting Dakota State inside First Bank & Trust Arena.

The Jackrabbits are 9-2 on the year and are currently on a six-game win streak following their 68-53 win over UNI over the weekend.

Tip-off from Brookings is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
