Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will be on the road this afternoon for a Class AA doubleheader against Harrisburg.

Today is the season opener for the Bucks. Yankton finished last season with a SoDak 16 appearance and a 3-18 overall record.

The Gazelles are 0-2 entering tonight’s doubleheader following their loss to Huron on Tuesday.

The Gazelles play first at 6:00 PM with the Bucks to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball are on the road tomorrow afternoon for a GPAC doubleheader against Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Lancer men and women are both trying to get back into the win column after bening swept by Dordt last Saturday.

The women will play first at 2:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT begins at 1:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling both split their triangular last night against Rapid City Stevens and Chamberlain.

The Bucks defeated Chamberlain 45-36, led by pinfall victories from Derrick Biel and CorBin Sayler. Yankton fell to Stevens 72-6 with Evan Jackman scoring the lone win for the Bucks via pinfall.

The Gazelles defeated Chamberlain 36-15 with only one match being held due to open weight classes. Yankton would lose to Stevens 36-28, with Chloe Caton, Alexis Brenden and Jett Yaggie all picking up match victories.

Yankton is back in action today and tomorrow for the two-day Rapid City Invitational. Matches are held at The Monument in Rapid City.

Yankton Gymnastics placed fourth with a score of 132.05 at yesterday’s Mitchell Quadrangular.

Marrissa Byrkeland led Yankton in the All-Around competition, finishing 8th with a score of 33.6. 

Yankton is back in Mitchell for the Jill McCormick Invitational on December 21st.

Yankton Bucks Hockey returns to the ice tonight to host the Brandon Valley Ice Cats at the Yankton Area Ice Association/Kiwanis 4-H Ice Rink.

  Yankton is 4-2 on the year coming off a 4-2 loss to Brookings last Saturday. Brandon Valley enters tonight’s game with a 1-3 record.

Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM tonight.

Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field will be in Mitchell today and tomorrow for the Dakota Wesleyan Snow Tiger Open.

The competition will be the 2nd of the season for the Lancers. Today’s events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.

South Dakota Football will host UC Davis tomorrow in the quarterfinal round of the FCS Playoffs.

USD is 10-2 on the season following their 42-31 win over Tarleton State last week. UC Davis is 11-2 overall with their lone FCS loss coming by two points to #1 ranked Montana State.

Kickoff from the DakotaDome is scheduled for 2:00 PM tomorrow.

South Dakota State Football is set to host Incarnate Word tomorrow in the FCS Playoff Quarterfinals.

SDSU is 11-2 on the year, having won six straight games. Incarnate Word is 11-2 as well following their 13-6 win over Villanova last week.

Kickoff from Dana J. Dykehouse Stadium is scheduled for 11:00 AM.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball is at home tomorrow morning to host the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

USD is 8-4 on the season coming off a narrow 82-81 win over Wyoming on Tuesday. Western Illinois currently holds a 6-4 record.

Tip-off from Vermillion is scheduled for 11:00 AM tomorrow morning.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball returns home on Sunday to host Wyoming inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

USD looks to get back into the win column following their 78-59 road loss to Northern Iowa on Tuesday.

Tip-off from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Sunday.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball is on the road tonight to take on the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder, CO.

SDSU is 8-4 overall, 0-2 on the road, so far this season coming off a 77-63 loss to Nevada in Reno on Wednesday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM this evening.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball looks to extend their five-game winning streak tomorrow afternoon, as the host the Northern Iowa Panthers in Brookings.

SDSU is 8-2 on the year following their 76-48 win over Dakota Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Jackrabbits are also 4-1 this season on their home floor.

Tip-off from First Bank & Trust Arena is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Saturday.
