Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will be on the road tomorrow afternoon for a Class AA doubleheader against Harrisburg.
Tomorrow’s game will be the season opener for the Bucks. Yankton finished last season with a SoDak 16 appearance and a 3-18 overall record.
The Gazelles are 0-2 entering tomorrow’s doubleheader following their loss to Huron on Tuesday.
The Gazelles play first at 6:00 PM with the Bucks to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.
Yankton Gymnastics is in action this afternoon for a varsity quadrangular hosted by the Mitchell Kernels.
Today is the first competition for Yankton since December 3rd. Yankton, Mitchell, Pierre, and O’Gorman will compete in the event.
Events are held at the Mitchell MEGA Gymnastics Center, beginning at 5:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will be competing in Rapid City for the next three days, beginning with a triangular this afternoon.
Yankton will face Rapid City Stevens and Chamberlain today in their triangular, before competing in the Rapid City Wrestling Invite on Friday and Saturday.
All matches will be held at the Monument in Rapid City. Today’s triangular begins at 4:30 Mountain/5:30 Central.
Yankton Bucks Hockey returns to the ice tomorrow night to host the Brandon Valley Ice Cats.
Yankton is 4-2 on the year coming off a 4-2 loss to Brookings last Saturday. Brandon Valley enters tomorrow’s game with a 1-3 record.
Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM tomorrow night.
Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field will be in Mitchell tomorrow and Saturday for the Dakota Wesleyan Snow Tiger Open.
The competition will be the 2nd of the season for the Lancers. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball fell to 8-4 last night with a 77-63 road loss to Nevada.
Joe Sayler led SDSU with 15 points. Owen Larson added 11 points and 8 rebounds, while Matthew Mors finished with 9 points and 3 assists.
The Jackrabbits are on the road tomorrow for their next game against Colorado. Tip-off from Boulder, CO is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball increased their winning streak to five straight games last night with a 76-48 win over Dakota Wesleyan.
Haleigh Timmer led SDSU with 26 points in the win. Brooklyn Meyer followed with 11 points, while Mesa Byom tallied a team-high 11 rebounds.
SDSU returns to the hardwood on Saturday to host Northern Iowa. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
