Another school record was set on Saturday by the Mount Marty Indoor Track team. Sophomore Mason Schleis set a Lancer record in the pole vault in winning the men’s heptathlon. Senior Paul Paul won the 400-meter dash and anchored the Lancers to a victory in the 1600 relay. Mount Marty will host the Lancer Open next weekend at the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse.
The Mount Marty University football program announced the signing of a top South Dakota athlete. Anthony Tchida is a 6’1”, 190 pound senior from Sisseton High School who will play football this fall for the Lancers. The Mount Marty volleyball program has signed 5’8” Brynn Bargman from Bloomfield High School. Bargman led Bloomfield with 149 kills along with 133 digs and 52 assists last fall.
