Class A top-ranked Dakota Valley defeated West Central 78-70 on Tuesday as all-stater Paul Bruns scored 40 points with 10 rebounds for the unbeaten Panthers.  Viborg-Hurley rolled past Alcester-Hudson 56-17 last night as Gradee Sherman paced the Cougars with 22 points and 17 rebounds. SF Washington Rallies Past Yankton 55-48 on Monday

Sioux Falls Washington scored 21 of the final 30 points to rally past Yankton 55-48 Monday night in boys basketball.  Senior Matthew Mors led Yankton with 20 points and four blocked shots.  The top-ranked Warriors stayed unbeaten, while second-rated Yankton dropped to 7-2 on the season.read more »

Bucks Split Two Wrestling Duals Last Night

The Yankton Bucks wrestling squad defeated Sioux Falls Roosevelt 40-30 and lost to host Brookings 64-15 last night.  Senior Tucker Bahm returned to the mats and got two victories on Monday for Yankton.read more »

MMU and USD Get Commitments Over the Weekend

Bucks Have Key Basketball Game at SF Washington Tonight

SC Heelan Downs Gazelles in Saturday Basketball

Sioux City Heelan used a big second half to defeat the Yankton Gazelles 54-30 Saturday at the Summit Activities Center.  Jordynn Salvatori led Yankton with 11 points, while Kate Beeman added 9 points and 8 rebounds.  The Gazelles now are 1 and 7 on the season with a game at Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Friday.read more »

YHS Gymnastics and Wrestling Recaps from Saturday

The Yankton Gazelles had a season-best score of 136.85 to place sixth out of 12 teams in the Brookings Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday.  Junior Alison Johnson led the Gazelles by winning the Vault competition and placing fourth in the All-Around with a 35.6 total. Billings Passes 1,000 Point in Lancer Loss at Dordt

Dordt controlled the women’s GPAC contest Saturday with a 90-46 win over Mount Marty.  Tabor sophomore Bailey Kortan led the Lancers with a career-best 20 points, while junior Megan Hirsch of Gayville had career highs of 13 points and 13 rebounds.read more »
