Earlier this month, Governor Kristi Noem launched the Small Business and Healthcare Provider Relief Program which provides funds to help small businesses, community-based healthcare providers, and non-profits who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
Yankton Area Progressive Growth C-E-O Nancy Wenande says for small businesses who lost at least twenty-five percent of their revenue due to COVID 19 four hundred million dollars is available.
Wenande says for many businesses, these dollars could be the difference between remaining open or closing their doors.
Wenande says the economic impact of the COVID 19 pandemic varies depending on the type of business or industry that was affected.
Wenande says applications are available on the state of South Dakota’s COVID 19 website, deadline to apply is October 23rd.
