The state of South Dakota had over five hundred additional active cases of COVID-19 confirmed yesterday, bringing the statewide total up to 7,132. In early August, the number of active cases in South Dakota was less than one thousand. There are currently 304 people hospitalized with the virus, and 13 deaths from the coronavirus were confirmed on Thursday. The death toll in South Dakota rose to 304.
Yankton County reported 13 more positive tests of COVID-19 yesterday and there are 145 active cases. Bon Homme County has 88 active cases of the virus after nine more positive tests were confirmed on Thursday.
Knox County now has a total of 236 infections and Cedar County stands at 124 positive tests of COVID-19. The death toll from the virus is now 530 in Nebraska after five more fatalities were reported yesterday.
