The Yankton County Commission was updated Tuesday on the benefits citizens throughout the county are receiving by being able to access the Yankton Community Library throughout the COVID19 pandemic.
Yankton Community Library Director Dana Schmidt says safety precautions are being taken with items that have been checked out and returned to the library.
Schmidt says with more than a thousand uses during the month of June, the library’s curbside pick-up option is popular with patrons.
Schmidt says with COVID 19 social distancing precautions in place, the library is now open to the public on a limited basis.
In other business from Tuesday’s meeting, a resolution was adopted by the Yankton County Commission to begin the process of utilizing the approximately one-point-five million dollars in federal COVID 19 relief the county has been qualified for.
