The Yankton Lakers picked up their first amateur baseball victory with an 11-0 win at Freeman Sunday night.  Kieran Luellman fired a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts.  Sam Mooney tripled and drove in five runs, while Rex Ryken had three hits and three runs scored for the Lakers.

Parkston downed Menno 5-2 in amateur baseball Sunday afternoon.  Jake Weber was the winning pitcher, while Dylan Lehr homered for Menno in the loss.  The South Dakota Amateur Baseball Association has stated that league games in the state will begin on Sunday, May 31st.


Yankton golfer Jill Muth notched her first career hole-in-one at the Dawson Creek Golf Club in Scotland.  Muth aced the 133-yard eighth hole at Scotland, using an eight-iron for the hole-in-one.


The Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls hosted their last sports competition on March 10th when the Summit League post-season basketball championship games were played.  Competition in front of fans will resume exactly four months later when the Professional Bull Riding Team Championship will take place at the Premier Center.  The Monster Energy Team Bull Riding Championship will be July 10th and 11th with many safety guidelines in place.
