There are 40 confirmed positive tests for Covid-19 in Yankton County as of Sunday’s noon statewide report, with 14 active cases at this time. Yankton County is still the sixth highest in South Dakota with positive cases. Clay County now has 15 positive tests for the coronavirus with seven active cases and Bon Homme County remains at four positive tests and no active cases.
From Sunday’s report, South Dakota health officials have confirmed a total of 3,987 Covid-19 cases in the state. The report shows 77 people are currently hospitalized, and there have been 44 deaths linked to the coronavirus in South Dakota.
The state of Nebraska has now reported 123 deaths from Covid-19 with well over ten-thousand positive tests. The death toll is up to 351 in the state of Iowa with 16 deaths from Woodbury County in the Sioux City area. Minnesota has a total death toll of 722 from the coronavirus with over 80 percent of those victims residing in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
