The South Dakota High School Activities Association voted Tuesday to send the five-class football proposal back to the Football Advisory Committee to make adjustments. The proposal would have three classes of 11-man and two classes of 9-man football in South Dakota. The state Board of Directors did approve the 35-point mercy rule for large schools in the state.
The USD women’s basketball team had added a University of Oklahoma transfer to their roster for next season. Aspen Williston is a 6’4” center who will have two years of eligibility for the Coyotes. Williston was a first team All-State player in Oklahoma, scored over one-thousand points in high school, and was ranked as the 17th best center in the nation in her graduating class.
The South Dakota women’s tennis program has added a transfer student from Samford University in Alabama. Indy Ampaw is from London, England and the 5’11” will have three years of eligibility for the Coyotes.
