From the Wednesday afternoon report, South Dakota health officials have confirmed a total of 129 Covid-19 cases in the state. Of these cases, 51 people have now recovered and been discharged from hospitals. There have now been 3,903 negative tests throughout South Dakota. Of those people tested for coronavirus statewide, 3.2 percent have tested positive.
There are now eight confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Yankton County as of Wednesday because two more cases were reported yesterday. Yankton County is still classified as a County with minimal community spread of the coronavirus at this time.
The first Covid-19 death in the Norfolk area in Madison County Nebraska was reported to state officials yesterday. The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department says a woman in her 70’s with multiple underlying medical conditions passed away. Officials say each of her community contacts have been identified and they are self-quarantined at this time.
