The annual Hoop City Classic basketball tournament is expanding this December to include Yankton.
Y-H-S Activities Director Ryan Mors says the demand for getting into the Hoop City Classic is growing, and the event will expand to three days.
Mors says the Hoop City Classic will begin a three-day run in South Dakota with a full slate of high school games on Monday, December 28th.
Mors says it’s great for the Yankton High School Summit Activities Center to be included along with the Corn Palace and Sanford Pentagon in next season’s event.
This will be the fourth year Yankton High School has participated in the Hoop City Classic, formerly known as the Mike Miller Classic.
