Yes 4 YSD

Voters in the Yankton School District will go to the polls on February 11th and make their thoughts heard on a proposed one-point-eight-five million dollars property tax opt-out for the next four years.

Yes 4 YSD Committee member Sherri Koletsky says the lack of funding from state government for K-through-12th grade education makes passage of this opt-out attempt even more vital for the district’s students.

Koletsky says the opt-out will make it possible to continue programs that are unique in South Dakkota such as the tuition free pre-school.

Absentee voting in the Yankton School District’s opt-out election is available from 7 AM to 530 PM Monday through Friday at the Yankton School District Administration Building.
