The Yankton Bucks pulled away in the third quarter and picked up a 57-38 win at Sioux Falls Lincoln on Saturday.  Cooper Cornemann led the Bucks with 22 points as they raised their record to 6 and 2 overall with a home game tomorrow night against Sioux Falls Washington.

Sioux Falls Lincoln rolled past Yankton 69-35 in girls basketball on Saturday.  Madison Wuebben led the Gazelles with 11 points.  Yankton is 3 and 5 overall and will host Sioux Falls Roosevelt Friday night.

Canton won the Brandon Valley Wrestling Invitational Saturday and Yankton placed 13th out of 16 teams in the meet.  Cruz Dyer led the Bucks with a second place finish.  Vermillion standout Lucas Anglin won his weight class and remained unbeaten on the season.  The Bucks wrestle in Brookings tonight against the Bobcats and Sioux Falls Roosevelt.

Yankton finished sixth out of ten teams in the Brookings Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday.  The Gazelles had a team score of 132.85 and were led by a tenth place finish from Alison Johnson in the All-Around.  Yankton will host Brookings and Harrisburg in a triangular tonight starting at 6:00.

Mount Marty nipped Midland 87-85 in overtime Saturday in women’s basketball in Yankton.  Hannah Williams tied the game in regulation with a three-pointer and led the Lancers with 26 points.  Mount Marty is 10 and 7 overall and eighth in the G-PAC women’s standings.

Mount Marty held off Midland 96-89 in the men’s game Saturday.  Colby Johnson paced the Lancers with 26 points and Jordan Johnson added 20.  Mount Marty is 15 and 4 on the season and sits in third place in the G-PAC men’s race.  Mount Marty will host Northwestern in a doubleheader Wednesday at the Cimpl Arena.

The U-S-D women’s basketball team routed Omaha 77-44 Saturday in Vermillion.  The 22nd-rated Coyotes are unbeaten in the Summit League and 15 and 2 overall.

The U-S-D men’s squad topped Omaha 91-81 Saturday as Stanley Umude led the Coyotes with 27 points, raising their season record to 11 and 7.
