The Mount Marty volleyball squad lost a G-PAC match at Morningside on Friday by scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-10.  Mikaela Ahrendt had 9 kills for the Lancers and Amber Miller added 23 assists.  Mount Marty is 8 and 22 overall and will play at the College of St. Mary today in Omaha and then travel to eighth-ranked Jamestown on Monday.

The Mount Marty women’s soccer team concludes its season today.  The Lancers are 3 and 9 overall with a home match against the College of St. Mary at 3:00 at Crane-Youngworth Field.

The Mount Marty College basketball teams compete in the N-A-I-A Classic this weekend at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.  The Lancer women will face Presentation today at 2:00, followed by the men’s contest at 4 p-m.  Mount Marty takes on Dakota State in a doubleheader tomorrow starting at noon.  Our broadcast of Lancer basketball starts at 1:30 today on AM 1450, KYNT.

The U-S-D volleyball team is now 22 and 1 this season with an 19-match winning streak.  The Coyotes rallied to win at Omaha last night by scores of 25-27, 26-24, 25-21 and 25-14 as Sami Slaughter led the attack with 16 kills and Madison Jurgens recorded 45 assists.  U-S-D will host second-place Denver in a key Summit League matchup tomorrow at noon in Vermillion.

The U-S-D football squad is 3 and 5 this season with a game at winless Western Illinois today at 1 p-m.  South Dakota State is ranked fifth in the F-C-S this week with a 6 and 2 record and the Jacks visit Missouri State at 2:00 this afternoon.

Hartington Cedar Catholic entered the Nebraska Class C-2 football playoff as a 15th seed and the Trojans nearly upset second-seed and unbeaten Oakland-Craig last night before dropping a 28-26 contest.  Jacob Keiser led the Trojans with three touchdowns as Cedar Catholic finished with a 5 and 5 overall record.
